London - British Museum

Established in 1753, the British Museum is considered as one of the world's greatest museums with vast sources of images depicting world culture and history. About 8 million works in its permanent collection is among the finest, most comprehensive, and largest in existence. They come from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present. In the center of the museum, one can find the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court. This two-acre space enclosed by a spectacular glass roof was designed by Foster and Partners, and has transformed the Museum’s inner courtyard into the largest covered public square in Europe.
