London - London Eye
The London Eye or the Millennium Wheel is a ferris wheel at the west end of the Jubilee Gardens near the Westminster Bridge on the South Bank of the Thames. It measures to a height of almost 450 feet with a diameter of 394 feet. The famous wheel offers a bird's eye view of London - a view that stretches for 25 miles on a clear day. When it was formally opened in 1999, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until surpassed first by the 520-ft Star of Nanchang in 2006 and then the 541-ft Singapore Flyer in 2008. London Eye is visited by over 3.5 million people annually.
