London - St. Paul's Cathedral and the Millennium Bridge
The London Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian-only steel suspension bridge crossing the Thames and linking Bankside with the City. It is also referred as the "Wobbly Bridge" after an uncomfortable, swaying motion was noticeably felt on the first two days of the bridge's opening on June 2000. Attempts to modify the bridge to eliminate the vibrations were made and the bridge reopened in 2002. Other than being another architectural marvel on the Thames, the Millennium bridge is also known as the fictional Brockdale Bridge in the 2009 film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The alignment of the bridge is also such that a clear view of St Paul's Cathedral is seen from across the river, framed by the bridge supports.
