London - City Hall and Tower Bridge
The City hall designed by famed London architect Norman Foster was opened in July 2002. It sits on the south bank of the river Thames near another popular landmark, the Tower bridge. The rounded, bulb-shaped city hall was designed to be environmentally friendly, and even includes solar panels. The unusual building has been likened to many things including Darth Vader's helmet, a misshapen egg, a woodlouse and a motorcycle helmet.
