The Venice Carnival, or the Carnevale di Venezia is an annual festival held in Venice, Italy. Carnival starts around two weeks before Ash Wednesday and ends Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, the day before Ash Wednesday. Re-launched two decades ago, Venice Carnival was immediately regarded both in Italy and abroad as an event not to be missed.
