The iconic NGS flag has been to all continents, both North and South Poles, to the summit of Mt. Everest and was also brought to the moon by the crew of Apollo 11 in 1969. The colors of the flag represent all areas explorers are discovering: green for the sea, brown for the land, and blue for the sky.
