Cusco - Weaver in Awana Kancha

Awana Kancha, which means Palace of the Weavers in Quechua, is a textile center in the Cusco-Pisac road of Peru. Women from different villages showcase and sell their handmade products using fibers from the South American camelid family including alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Comprised of 420 families that represent 14 communities, Awana Kancha is celebrated as the first living museum of the Peruvian Andes.
