Santorini - Inside a Cycladic or Cave Home
In Santorini, majority of the houses, as it is common in cycladic islands, are painted white with a blue accent. The white color is supposed to make the houses more resistant to the harsh heat of summer. Although there are many explanations as to why the blue and white combination, everyone will agree that they are clearly the trademark of Greece and that they also represent the colors of its flag. You can find other colors as well, although minimally, and they do add more life and depth to what is already a vibrant place.
