Hailed as 'Queen of the Lakes', Derwentwater is surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery in Lake District. It is surrounded by hills and is comprised of 4 islands. Derwentwater measures about a mile and a half wide, approximately 3 miles long and between 70 to 80 feet deep.
