]]>Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest, first completed in 1265. It was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill, bounded on the north by what is known as the Castle District, famous for its Medieval, Baroque and 19th century houses, churches and public buildings. The castle is part of the Budapest World Heritage Site, declared in 1987.

]]>The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest. It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in 1849. The bridge has the name of Istvan Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, attached to it, but is most commonly known as the Chain Bridge. At the time of its construction, it was regarded as one of the modern world's engineering wonders.

]]>The Holocaust Memorial in Budapest at the Dohany Synagogue is one of the world's greatest memorials to the victims of the Holocaust.

The Dohany Synagogue, also known as The Great Synagogue or Tabakgasse Synagogue, was built between 1854 and 1859 in the Moorish Revival style, with the decoration based chiefly on Islamic models from North Africa and medieval Spain. The complex consists of the Great Synagogue, the Heroes' Temple, the graveyard, the Holocaust memorial and the Jewish Museum. It is the largest synagogue in Europe and the fifth largest in the world.

]]>The Liberty Bridge connects Buda and Pest across the River Danube in Budapest. It is the third southernmost public road bridge in Budapest, located at the southern end of the city center. Although radically different in structure, the bridge imitates the general outline of a chain-type bridge, which was considered an aesthetically preferable form at the time of construction. The bridge was opened in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph; the last silver rivet on the Pest abutment was inserted into the iron structure by the Emperor himself, and the bridge was originally named after him.

]]>The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It lies in Lajos Kossuth Square, on the bank of the Danube, in Budapest. It is currently the largest building in Hungary. Similar to the Palace of Westminster, the Parliament Building is in the Gothic Revival style; it has a symmetrical facade and a central dome. Also from inside the parliament is symmetrical and thus has two absolutely identical parliament halls out of which one is used for the politics, the other one is used for guided tours.
